Meet the 2023 - 2024 Central Student Ambassadors!!
Last year was the first year for the Central Student Ambassador program. The program was created to provide students with an opportunity to develop their leadership and communications skills, help new students around campus, and to be more involved with campus and district-wide events, as well as learn how to help their community.
Student Ambassadors must maintain an A/B average on their report cards, keep good attendance and behavior, and always set an example for their peers. Throughout the year, Student Ambassadors will have opportunities to listen to community members and organizations around town. Students will meet throughout the school year to create projects that promote a positive environment on campus.
We are looking forward to another year of watching all the amazing things our Central Student Ambassadors will do!

Tomorrow, Central students will begin taking NWEA Map Growth. The MAP Growth assessments are given three times during the school year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. MAP Growth scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students. These results will provide a more complete picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn—whether it is on, above, or below their grade level.
Tuesday's test will be Reading, Wednesday is Math, and Thursday will be Science. These test are given during the students regular class time.

Central welcomed Senator Steve Crowell to our campus earlier this week. He visited Ms. Gleason and Mrs. Haire's third grade classes, and he also spoke to the fifth grade students.
During his visit he shared what it is like to be a State Senator, and how important it is to be good citizens.
We all appreciate Senator Crowell for taking time to visit our campus and for all he does for our school.

Students in Mrs. Lindsey and Ms. Neill's classroom were excited to participate in MHS Ag Day at the fair yesterday.
