Central Elementary

The final prizes for our Lucky to Be at Central Attendance challenge was presented to three students today, whose names were randomly selected from the March perfect attendance list. They each received a treasure chest full of goodies, and a Lucky to Be at Central Perfect Attendance (for March) certificate. Congratulations, Gunner Cherry, Laionna Young, and Madeleyn Morales!

Central students have had so much fun participating in Math Madness this month. It's pretty safe to say that we have a school full of mathematicians! Congratulations to our OVERALL Champs.....Ms. Ketchum's fifth grade class! We are so proud of you all.

Today 5th grade students traveled to Camden to compete in the Battle of the Book competition. Both teams did amazing, and did a great job representing CES.

RIF (Reading is Fundamental) is such an exciting day at Central. Every student receives their very own book that they choose and get to take home with them. Thank you, Elizabeth Keith and Sarah Hornor, Magnolia Junior Charity League members, for spending your morning with us.

Book Blast contributions help ensure all our students receive books. Friday was 4th grades turn to compete in the Battle of the Books competition in Camden. They were able to bring home a 4th place win! We are very proud of these CES students.

Our first Lucky to Be at Central winner is...........THIRD GRADE!!!
They won the attendance challenge for the first week!!!!
Remember, each grade has two more chances to win this month!!

Congratulations to Carlee Lindsey and Melissa Jamerson who both recieved a gift from Story's on the Square for having Perfect Attendance during the Month of February.

Thanks to the English Honor Society (Sigma Tau Delta) of SAU, 114 students were able to purchase a book at our recent book fair.
