Reading can take you places! Mrs. Smith's 3rd grade Next Level Book Club students dove into a mystery set in Chinatown, so we brought the story to life! The kids explored the culture by learning how to use chopsticks while enjoying some delicious ramen along the way. Learning has never been so fun! 🍜🥢

Ms. Soulmani's and Mrs. Bynum's 4th graders went beyond the American Revolution to explore the broader Age of Revolutions! They welcomed Mr. David Hernandez, Rider Resident at Freshman Academy, who was accompanied by Ms. Harris, World History Teacher.
Mr. Hernandez taught about Enlightenment ideals and how students can embody those principals through strong school citizenship. Using a "Wonder, Learn, Act" framework, students connected historical movements for freedom and rights to positive actions they can take in their own school and community bringing history to life in a meaningful way!

We are officially kicking off Central Has Has Heart today!! Each year, during the month of February, Central partners with a local organization and collects much-needed items to support their mission. This year, we selected The CALL, an organization that supports children in foster care.
We are asking our students and families to donate body wash, hand soap, or bar soap, during February 17 - 27, 2026! Boxes will be placed in each hallway to collect the soap items.
We are excited to partner with the CALL! Thank you to our students and their families for always helping Central give back to the community in a BIG way!!!

During our Reset!Refocus! Reach Higher!, Month of January, our students were asked to set goals. Some chose weekly goals, while others set long-term, monthly goals.
We saw goals that included: making a 100 in citizenship, not getting points taken off the discipline clipboard, leveling up on Symphony Math and Lexia, improving reading levels, and raising their ATLAS scores, just to name a few.
Students who met their goals were entered into a random drawing.
Congatulations to Wendy Montiel-Juarez, Ethan Rickert, Addison England, Demetri Crockett, Ja'Myra Bates, and Christopher Bardales.
They each received a bag full of goodies from SAU, and SAU Admissions. Thank you Mrs. Anne Marie Sands for always supporting Central. We are very proud of all of students for setting goals, and most importantly, working so hard to reach them.

During our January Reset! Refocus! Reach Higher! Pep Rally, Coach Dee, LPB Head Coach, promised 3rd graders candy for yelling the loudest during the Pep Rally!!! Today, she kept that promise.
3rd graders say , "Thank you for the candy!"
We are so excited to be able to see them play Tuesday, when Central goes to the basketball games.
