The HE❤️RT of a Panther makes $1000 donation to Arkansas Children’s CVICU
To bring awareness and celebrate national HEART week, our students at Magnolia Middle School made a $1000 dollar donation the CVICU unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. On Monday, our students passed off the donation to Nash so he could make the delivery today, 2-20-24, at his 6 month cardiology appointment. The money was raised by our students during Super Bowl week.

Congratulations to the MMS quiz bowl team! They competed in their regional tournament today and are bringing home 2nd place. They had one loss and it was against an all 9th grade team. Xola Schlamp was the tournament high point player with an average of 9.5 questions answered per game. Darius Adcock had an average of 6.5 questions per game. Both of these young men qualified for the all tournament team. The team will compete at the state tournament on February 17th.



These students were the top eight in the 6th grade Spelling Bee. They competed in the Magnolia Public Schools Spelling Bee for grades 4th, 5th, and 6th and the top winners were
1st place Cameron Savoy
2nd Rylee Murphy
They will move on to compete in the Columbia County Spelling Bee

Mrs. White's 7th grade advanced science class made a comic strip over Photosynthesis. This activity is showing what enters and exits a plant explains what is happening in the process.





Students in Mrs. Reed's 7th grade advanced science used cereal and toothpicks to model and compare the reactants and products in photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Through this activity they were able to see that the same elements and compounds are used in both processes.











Magnolia School District will return to school on Monday, January 22 on a regular schedule. We still have many roads throughout the district covered in ice. Buses will not travel down unsafe roads.
