JV football with Camden Fairview has been canceled tonight. The 7th grade football will scrimmage each other around 5:30 tonight. There will be no charge to get in and no concessions!

Students in Mrs. Wreyford’s 7th grade English classes finished up reading The Outsiders by dressing up as Socs and Greasers.



This week’s Spotlight Teacher is Mrs. Crissy Klober. This is her first year teaching in Magnolia, but she has 18 years of experience in education including 13 years as a head coach. She teaches 6th and 7th grade.
She is married to Josh, and they have two sons, Riley (19) and Gage (13). She loves spending time outdoors, watching her sons participate in their activities, watching sports, and traveling to new places.
She’s already making a huge impact on the students at MMS, and we’re so glad she joined our staff!

MMS will host a Flu Clinic on October 5, 2021.
Flu forms will go home today. If you wish for your child to receive a flu shot, please return the green FERPA form and white flu consent form by September 28, 2021.

MAGNOLIA SCHOOLS TO HOLD COVID VACCINATION CLINIC
The Magnolia School District will hold a Covid vaccination clinic Friday, September 24, for District students and staff. Students twelve years and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Both first and second doses of the vaccine will be available at the clinic.
The clinic for students in grades 9-12 will begin a 9:00 a.m. in the Panther Arena lobby.
Students in grades 6-8 will receive their vaccine at 1:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Middle School auditorium.
District staff members may receive the vaccine at either location.
Parents may be pick up immunization forms in the front offices of the Magnolia Middle School, Freshman Academy, Magnolia High School, or the District Administration Building.
Completed immunization forms must be returned to the respective campus school nurse's office by end of the day Wednesday, September 22.

This week’s Spotlight Teacher is Coach Trey Davis. He is the new head basketball coach for 7th through 9th grade. He also teaches 6th grade PE/health.
This is his first year teaching. He recently graduated from SAU with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management.
He is a middle child of three. His hobbies are mud riding and playing basketball. We can’t wait to watch you coach the Cubs to victory!


Magnolia Middle School virtual tutoring is now available every Monday through Thursday from 4:00-6:00. Certified teachers are available to help students.

Students in 7th grade Pre AP science soaked gummy bears in tap water and salt water to investigate how osmosis works in our cells.





The next MMS COVID Vaccination Clinic will be held 9/24 at 1:30 in the auditorium. Students may pick up a form in the front office. Forms should be completed on both sides and returned to the nurse by Wednesday, 9/22.


JOHN WARD SELECTED ARKANSAS SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR
During the regularly scheduled Magnolia School Board meeting on Monday, September 13, 2021, Superintendent John Ward was surprised with an official visit from members of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators. AAEA Executive Director, Mike Hernandez presented Mr. Ward with the 2021-2022 Arkansas Superintendent of the Year award. Ward starts this fall in his eighth year as superintendent of the Magnolia School District.
