
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY

This week's Spotlight Teacher is Coach Courtney Williams. This is her second year teaching, but her first year in Magnolia. She teaches 6th grade PE & Health and is the 8th and 9th grade Lady Cubs basketball coach. She has led her teams to great seasons this year!
She graduated from SAU with a K-12 PE & Health Degree where she was on the track and field team. She is now in graduate school working on her Education Leadership & Administration degree. In her spare time she loves going to the lake, hanging out with friends, and walking the farm road with her Australian Shepherd, Louie.


Parents of 6th grade girls and 8th grade girls/boys should have received a letter from Nurse Hayes about upcoming Scoliosis screening. If you choose to opt out of the screening for your child, it must be submitted in writing to Nurse Hayes.

Coach Ford spent Cub Academy time speaking to students in Mrs. Fallin’s class today.

This week’s Spotlight Teacher is Ms. Andrea Muldrew. She is a first year teacher who teaches 8th grade science. She graduated from SAU with a Bachelor’s of Science in biology and is currently working on her Master’s degree.
She enjoys crocheting, cooking, fishing, and hunting. She also likes spending time with her fiancée and her dog, Daisy. Thanks for doing an outstanding job, Ms. Muldrew!

NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR WEEK IN ARKANSAS
Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed the week of February 7-11, 2022 as National School Counselor Week in Arkansas to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system and how students are different as a result of what they do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students meet their college and career aspirations.
The Magnolia School District recognizes the contributions of nine school counselors employed by the District. Each day these counselors make significant contributions to lives of our children. The District greatly appreciates the remarkable work these counselors do to provide a positive influence on the future of all students. The Magnolia School District counselors include:

This week’s Spotlight Teacher is Ms. Valerie Gillaspy. She is a 6th grade math teacher who’s been teaching for 22 years.
She loves reading non fiction books and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She especially loves how her family sticks together when times get tough.
