Can Barbie safely jump from the concessions area in the arena? Students in Mrs. Herren's AP Statistics class used linear regression models to find out. At the beginning of their unit covering scatter plots, they collected data on how far Barbie fell using a limited number of rubber bands. Throughout the unit they learned about analyzing their data to predict how many rubber bands would be needed for the final jump. Today we put their predictions to the test. A few Barbies were injured but some survived the fall!

"Our Teacher of the Month for September goes to Coach Nicole Lowe. She has a great rapport with her students and is always finding engaging activities for them to participate in. Coach Lowe never complains and is always friendly, cheerful, and willing to help. Congratulations, Coach Lowe, and keep up the good work!"
