Central Elementary School Collects $1,692.96 benefiting The CALL for Columbia and Lafayette County.
During December, Central Elementary School took part in a fundraiser benefiting The CALL for Columbia and Lafayette County. Students collected 359.81 pounds of coins, which resulted in $1,692.96 raised. While the coins were being counted at Farmers Bank and Trust, a community member who was at the bank contributed an additional $100.00 A check was presented to Mrs. Mandy McLelland, The CALL County Coordinator for $1792.96.
Each grade was challenged to see who could bring in the most money in pounds, and the Central Elementary School Fourth Grade class won the challenge with 114.8 pounds of coins!
